After School Fun N' Games Camp
Under the direction of Mr. Zack Lorenz, this camp provides a safe, confidence building space for PHS students and children in the community to learn and enhance their team-building and problem-solving skills. Campers exercise their creativity and ingenuity, learn negotiating skills, and have great fun both inside and outdoors.
When
Camp takes place Monday through Friday from the end of school until 5:30pm.
How to Sign Up
Peninsula Heritage students can be enrolled by giving a filled out form, along with the applicable payment in either cash or check, to our main office.
5th Grade Homework Club
Our 5th grade teacher, Mrs. Lynn, hosts Homework Club for 5th graders. Students are able to ask questions of Mrs. Lynn while doing their homework to better understand the subject material.
5th grade families may call the main office at (310) 541-4795 for more details or to sign up.
Creative Lab
Creating art helps students advance their artistic proficiency and creativity while also providing a path to expand their communication, problem solving skills, collaboration, persistence, and management of time and resources. In Creative Lab, students are not only able to be creative, they are also learning studio practices such as using a sketchbook, workspace organization, proper maintenance of art materials, and critique.

Meet Ms. Christine
Throughout my childhood and into high school, I spent the majority of my free time drawing and creating. When I got older, I earned my BFA in Illustration from Cal State Long Beach and later I earned my Single Subject Teaching Credential in Art from Cal State Long Beach as well. Currently, I am working on a few projects: an illustrated novel for kids and a maze book for kids.
Art has always been important to me. It is where my mind and my heart work in harmony. When I am brainstorming ideas and creating pieces based on those ideas, I feel I am directly tapping into my genuine self and communicating it to the viewer. The journey from that first spark of an idea to the manifestation of bringing that idea to life, is meditative, joyful and fulfilling.
I started Creative Lab in 2019, but had to put the program on hold when the Pandemic started. I am so excited to reintroduce Creative Lab for 2021. My favorite part of Creative Lab is when the artists in the program get immersed in the process and exploration of art-making. They begin to understand that if they have an idea, that have the freedom to follow that inspiration to a new perspective or discovery.
