Small Classes. Big Education.

When you walk into a Peninsula Heritage School classroom, you will see a child-centered atmosphere that inspires each child to reach his/her individual potential. We take pride in a curriculum of high expectations for our students. The kindergarten through eighth grade program fosters independence and provides individualized instruction in order to prepare children for their future. Students who need an advanced curriculum may become part of our enrichment programs in mathematics and language arts. Differentiated instruction is offered in all grades to assist all learning styles or modalities.

The mission of Peninsula Heritage School is to provide a strong academic program coupled with a focus on developing each child’s character and moral fiber, as exemplified in our award winning Character Quality program. Through dedicated teaching, our children possess an emotional intelligence that allows for laughter as well as learning.

Differentiated Instruction

We know that every child learns in a different way so we personalize the learning experience in order for children to learn successfully. Teachers are constantly observing and in tune with every student's specific learning abilities to help them grow and thrive.

Small Class Sizes

At PHS, each classroom has a lead teacher and an associate teacher with an average teacher to student ratio of 1:7.  It is proven that children learn faster and perform better in smaller classes. They receive more individual attention, their participation increases, and they communicate better with their teachers.

Developing Character

Our teaching of the character qualities caring, respect, attitude, gratitude, and self-control has its roots in the founding of our school and is integrated into classroom discussions and curriculum every day. A strong character coupled with strong academics enables students to lead a meaningful life.
