Character Quality Assemblies!

Each month, one grade meets with our Theater Arts Teacher, Ms. Deb Wilcox, to work with her on a performance highlighting one of our Character Qualities. Students are given a fun script and choreography that they work on throughout the month. All the other grades also do something small for the assembly like sharing tips about how the character quality is used in real-life situations. In this way, all students are reflecting, discussing, writing about, and utilizing the character quality. PHS families are invited to the Character Quality Assembly where students show off all their hard work!

PHS Educator of the Year!

This year’s PHS Educator of the Year, Dr. Mary Wilson was honored along with other educators in Palos Verdes at the annual Educator of the Year dinner and program on April 13, 2022, sponsored by the PVP Rotary Club and co-chaired by PHS’s Joan E. Behrens. Dr. Wilson spoke at the event and recounted her journey in the teaching profession and interesting incidents in her science lab preparations and experiments! Congratulations, Dr. Wilson!

“I was overwhelmed,” reflects Dr. Wilson. “It was wonderful! And thanks to my colleagues who joined me to celebrate this honor.”
