I was born in Washington, DC and raised in Southern Maryland. From a young age I was passionate about children and discovered teaching as a perfect way to pass on this passion. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Converse College in Spartanburg, South Carolina. My past experiences include physical educational teacher at Seven Oaks Academy in Westminster, Co. Montessori teacher/directress and Studio Director for an after school program at Montessori West School in Spartanburg, South Carolina. I taught in the public school system as a long-term substitute, finally settling down teaching second grade at Crestwood Elementary School in Greenville, South Carolina. My husband and I relocated to Southern California in the fall of 2003. This is when I found my new home at Peninsula Heritage School where I very graciously accepted the position as first grade teacher. Since working at Peninsula Heritage School I have had the opportunity of directing the school’s summer art camp for two years.

I have taught in both public and private schools and teaching has definitely been the right decision for me. Peninsula Heritage School creates an environment where the students carry a constant smile on their face where the administration truly cares about their education. The loving, caring and exciting academic environment allows me to continue to give my gift of teaching.

I now live in Long Beach, California with my husband of 5 years. We have a beautiful little girl named Sophia and our family is growing.
