Second Grade

I was born and raised in Annapolis, Maryland, where I met and married my husband at the Naval Academy. After attending parochial schools, I earned a B.A. in Education. I became a certified Reading Specialist and earned a Masters in Curriculum at John Carroll University in Ohio.

I have taught for over twenty years in: private, parochial and public schools, grades pre-school through sixth grade. Peninsula Heritage school has been my home for eleven years. I am currently teaching second grade. While at Peninsula, I have taught second, third, fourth, and fifth grades and have published articles for the California Association of Independent Schools. It has been the student’s youth, enthusiasm and love of learning that has kept me as young in spirit. They teach me every bit as much as I teach them.

I live in Torrance with my husband Roger and our Siberian Husky, Max. I love reading Mysteries and enjoy “playing at gardening”
