I consider myself to be one of the lucky ones. With over twenty-five years of experience in education I still look forward with great anticipation to every September and the promise it brings. After receiving my education from Cal State Long Beach, I taught in both public and private school settings. Over the course of these many years, I’ve had the pleasure to instruct children from preschool through sixth grade. In addition to my formal education, I regularly attend conferences to study differentiated instruction practices within the classroom. In the course of these studies I have developed a great love of the arts and pride myself in my ability to incorporate these skills within the academic curriculum. I not only possess a love of books, but for writing as well. Continually striving to challenge myself, I expect the same from my students.
I currently live in Long Beach with my husband of seventeen years and my two talented daughters. Being an animal advocate and a self proclaimed dog lover, I spend a great deal of time outdoors. When I am not out on the trail communing with nature, you may find me at the theater, traveling, reading, enjoying an excellent day at “the happiest place on earth”, or watching Angels Baseball.
